Cal and Texas have scheduled to play each other in football in 2015 and 2016. 2015 game will be in Austin and 2016 will be in Berkeley. We are taking early predictions on the outcome when the teams meet…
Just two years ago, Cal was 1-11!!! Here are some questions to reflect on.
How did the team improve so much? One reason, Jahvid Best who is the team and scored all 5 TDs during their struggle against Minnesota.
Would Best want to stay in Cal when he has already proven himself as NFL-star worthy? NO! (emphasis added)
What will happen to Cal once Best is gone? Cal will relegate to a local high school district to play competitive football.
Have no fear Mo, the Hammer, and Wesker. UT is solid year in and year out…there will not be an end to UT’s dominance! The game against Cal will simply be a tune-up game to prepare for more formidable opponents like OU.
@Del: Pretty much Yong-Ju’s just refreshing sites when he’s “studying” at Reliant. We don’t hold that against him though; he lives in the Reliant, and he can do whatever he wants.
I think for those historic games, Colt McCoy can come back from a successful NFL career to play for UT, and the Cal quarterback can come back from wherever he…you know, we can just have P. Manny play QB for Cal and it wouldn’t make a difference. And Andy Yang can be the receiver (do we still have that video?).
I am actually very scared of this potent Cal team, which is why I will most likely retire beforehand so I won’t have to add two sure losses on my career record.
I’m pretty scared of Cal. I don’t think I can handle their secondary. They are just too physical and too fast. And Jahvid Best really is that… the best. I don’t think my team stands a chance when we face Cal.
And I really like the Cal jerseys and colors. They look so much better than our orange school colors..
actually, I’m thinking CAL and UT will meet THIS year in which case I am worried especially for ‘J’ because his hopes all ride in Longhorns football. so just want to say in advance, it’s okay if Cal wins, God still loves you.
First of all, I think ‘J’ seems like a pretty cool and devastating guy who would tell the truth and nothing but the truth.
I just want to let people know that Jordan Shipley’s statement was said with a sarcastic tone. If you read the statement again with the intended tone, it sounds much better and correct.
I just gotta say again, this ‘J’ guy is really something else…he seems like a special guy. I haven’t met him face-to-face yet, but I would totally listen to what he has to say.
I’m pretty scared of UT. I have this weird feeling that the first pass I throw will have commentary along these lines:
Time: 14:51 left in 1st quarter
“Riley takes the snap from the Cal 20. Drops back to pass, is PICKED OFF BY Sergio Kindle and Kindle is high stepping into the endzone for a pick 6. Touchdown LONGHORNS!”
I’m assuming that the 4 votes for the most hurting choice on the poll were from Del, Bree, Pastor Manny, and a student who mistakenly chose that option. This definitively shows that most staff have no confidence at all in Cal’s ability to sustain their seemingly successful (but too early to know for sure) season into the future. It’s over for Cal.
Well, my 2 cents (and that’s probably what it’s worth really), I think UT will win… I’m sorry CAL, but no competition. objectively, yah know? maybe they’re focused on their studies too, which is a good thing.
Lil is like henry and maurice who have forgotten their roots. . it’s ok tho, Bree, P.Manny, and I accept fair-weather fans. when Cal plays Florida in the Championship game we’ll gladly take them in when they start rooting for THEIR alma mater.
Hey man, it’s not mutually exclusive. I root for both Cal and Texas. And if they were playing each other, I would want whichever team has the better chance to win the national championship that year to win the game. It’s like rooting for your friends — when one person wins, everyone shares in the joy!
But if it really came down to it and Cal was playing Texas for the national championship, then I would have to say that I would root for Texas. As Jim Elliot once said, “Wherever you are, be all there!”
I must admit Henry has made the best statement yet.
Some other people need to follow in his intellect.
But ya why is there even a debate??
its clear and the poll that was made supports the fact that UT will win.
today’s game was critical for Cal. #4 and #5 lost today which would have ranked Cal #4!!! Add that to the fact that Tim Tebow seems to be injured and Alabama has a pretty tough schedule (Ole Miss, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee)…..it could have been Texas and Cal in the championship game.
What happened to Cal? They got smushed by Oregon 42-3. Talk about championship caliber play.
At the same time, UT crushed UTEP 64-7…like what Cal was “supposed” to do to Oregon. There goes my hopes of seeing UT and Cal in the championship game. Looks like Best isn’t even enough to offset your scrubs in other positions.

prediction:
2015 Cal at UT –> 31-28 Cal
2016 UT at Cal –> 41-31 Cal
btw, does Yong-Ju refresh this website every minute? =Þ
Is this a joke?

Prediction:
2015 -> 105-0, UT
2016 -> 31-0, UT
Pretty much…this poll is hurting.
I think it will be more like
45-10 UT.
I say this cause whoever will be our quarterback will torch Cal. And without Best you guys will score on some freak of nature play.
That is all
Oh, and nice work Henry…looks like the sophomores will be truly winning by numbers this time.
Like Pastor Manny said…it’s definitive this time. No more complaints.
I don’t refresh this website every minute…but I do have a spider sense that alerts me when something hurting is posted on this website
Though I may be gone to the NFL, rest assured. Cal is clutch.
2015 -> 42-39, CAL
2016 -> 42-39, CAL
I am actually very scared of this potent Cal team, which is why I will most likely retire beforehand so I won’t have to add two sure losses on my career record.
I think Best needs to be humbled.
Oh and There IS a loophole in the poll logic! ” Cal will be by then the ‘new’ USC and will dominate UT and it will be over by halftime.”
uh last I checked UT>USC, so why would Cal be dominating us? See Rose Bowl 2005 for more details.
it’s been over for cal
I vote for UT.
And the Liubama.

I’d rather forfeit than mess straight up with UT.
I wonder if this poll also turned out how P. Manny expected it to.

wow… so THIS is what brothers really talk about…
Well, my 2 cents (and that’s probably what it’s worth really), I think UT will win… I’m sorry CAL, but no competition. objectively, yah know? maybe they’re focused on their studies too, which is a good thing.

Henry’s statement lifted our respect for him above our collective disgust/shock at his sophomore G-live.
We respect the Chenry.
Oh my gosh, look how big koinonia-austin has gotten. I bet Cal’s quarterback and the US president doesn’t comment in koinonia-berkeley’s blog.
I think todays games were pretty definitive about who was the better team

Cal will rebound against USC. Go Bears!
