| Place | General Info |
| :: Burrito Factory
|
Location: 2nd floor in Dobie Mall (2025 Guadalupe St)
Although Dobie Mall isn’t the trendiest place to hang, the food at Burrito Factory will probably keep sending you back for more! This little shop is totally authentic Mexican food, and you’ll love their friendly service. Grab a torta, pair it with a refreshing Jamaica to drink, and you will be in paradise. Don’t know what those are? Go and give it a try!

| :: Chipotle
|
Location: 2230 Guadalupe St
Everyone knows Chipotle, but it happens to be a favorite pre-TFN dinner spot, especially for the c/o 2012 sisters! Usually burrito bowls are the common order, with a dash of the green Tabasco sauce for some kick. Hy-yah!
|
| :: Flying Falafel & Po’ Boys | Location: 2001 Guadalupe St It’s a small, hole-in-the-wall place that you might miss if you blink. But the unassuming Mediterranean food is very tasty, and the folks are very friendly! Sometimes you might catch a couple Koinonia folks chatting away over some gyros and hummus. Yummy!

| :: Hai Ky Cafe | Location: 2000 Guadalupe It’s always a challenge to find some good Asian food around here, but there are decent places like Hai Ky just around the corner from Dobie Mall. Hai Ky gives you more than enough food, so more often than not, you will bring home a to-go box! There is probably no dish over $8.00, too, which is great news for us college students on a budget! It’s a common place for small groups to get together right before heading to The Friday Night (TFN).

| :: Kinsolving Dining Hall | Location: Inside Kinsolving (duh)
Hours: M-F: Breakfast: 7-9:30AM, Lunch: 10:30-2PM, Dinner: 4:30-7PM Saturdays (and non-class days): Brunch: 11AM-2PM, Dinner: 4:30-7PM Sundays: Brunch: 11AM-2PM Out of the two dining halls on campus, Kinsolving is the better choice! Although the walking distance is a bit far for those who live near Jester, there is a greater variety of foods to choose from. There is usually a fancy dinner special, so keep your eyes peeled for those nights where they serve dishes like pad thai or even pho! You’ll also catch many post- and pre- Koinonia small group dinners happening often here. Special Notes: Groups, Bevo Bucks, K-SPOT |
| :: Kismet Café | Location: 411 24th St A favorite of Sunny Kim, Pastor Manny’s wife at Koinonia, she usually enjoys the Chicken Shawarma Platter. What really makes them a draw is their $5.55 special for a pita wrap, fries, and a drink. Now that’s a nice deal for your college budget!
Special Notes: Bevo Bucks, Cheap |
| :: Pita Pit | Location: 2350 Guadalupe St It’s been a favorite for the sisters during this past summer. It’s close to campus, cheap, healthy, and delicious! Make sure you get their stamp card!
Special Notes: Groups, Bevo Bucks, Cheap, K-SPOT |
| :: Pluckers | Location: 2222 Rio Grande St The brother staff at Koinonia find any possible occasion to frequent this place! Recommendations: Lemon Pepper, Cajun, Medium Hot, Honey BBQ. Best when eaten late at night!
Special Notes: Groups, Bevo Bucks |
| :: Potbelly Sandwich Shop | Location: 2316 Guadalupe St. Forget Subway. Potbelly’s has delicious warm subs with bread that, well, looks, feels, and tastes like bread should! Their service is fast, and the wall decor flings me back into time. Try their Italian sandwich, and The Wreck at Potbelly’s is a must!
Special Notes: Groups, Bevo Bucks, Cheap, K-SPOT |
| :: Schlotzsky’s Deli | Location: 1915 Guadalupe St
We just love this place because it’s so close to campus, the sandwiches are tasty, and it can hold massive groups like Koinonia! You might catch some of the brothers from c/o 2012 and 2011 hanging out before making their way over to our weekly TFN!

| :: Sushi Nichi
|
Location: 705B West 24th St Happy Hour: Sun-Fri 4-6pm If you’re tired of the standard fare and want to get some sushi, try the Happy Hour at Sushi Nichi to celebrate a friend’s birthday or other happy occasions with your small . The Blue Moonlight Roll is a common favorite on their menu, but they also serve non-sushi dishes that are just as delicious!
Special Notes: Groups |
| :: Burger Tex | Location: 2912 Guadalupe St
Right next to our 605 House, it’s a common hang-out spot for the guys who live there. Our very own staff brother Wesker recommends their fries: it’s nicely seasoned and crispy, a flavor unlike any other! There’s also the Korean-style Bulgogi burger and if that isn’t adventurous enough, try their Spicy Pork Bulgogi Burger. Definitely won’t find anything like that at Wendy’s!
Special Notes: Groups, Cheap, K-SPOT |
:: Five Guys Burger and Fries |
Location: 3208 Guadalupe St
Maybe because the decor reminds us a little bit of In-N-Out back in California, there’s a certain draw to this place for many of us who moved out to Austin from our church in Berkeley. The seasoned fries and customizable yet simple menu makes it one of our favorite places for our weekly family nights!
Special Notes: Groups, Cheap |
| :: Kerbey Lane Café | Location: 2606 Guadalupe
It’s a classic in Austin, and open 24 hours a day. Their breakfast menu is all-American and hearty, and their queso is definitely noteworthy. A great all-around hang-out place for large groups too!
Special Notes: Groups, Bevo Bucks, K-SPOT |
| :: Longhorn Po Boys | Location: 2901 Medical Arts St
Pastor Manny was one of the first to sing the praises of this place because of their Super Gyros! We’ll just leave the description at that…
Special Notes: Cheap |
| :: Torchy’s Tacos | Location: 2801 Guadalupe St
Special Notes: Cheap |
| :: Coco’s Café II | Location: 1910 Guadalupe
One of the two boba places that the c/o 2013 and 2012 sisters love to frequent! Their tapioca pearls are soft and their Taiwanese food is delicious!
Special Notes: Cheap, K-SPOT |
| :: Jamba Juice | Location: 2304 Guadalupe St
The location for our Sunday Service is located right behind this fine establishment. We usually get together with anyone who’s thirsty to grab a quick smoothie 30 minutes before our service begins. And, did you know they have a secret menu? (i.e. White Gummy Bear)
Special Notes: Bevo Bucks, K-SPOT |
| :: Juicy Tart | Location: 504 W 24th St
One of the common after-Sunday Service hangout for the Koinonia folks. It’s a great place to catch up with each other while enjoying some healthy frozen yogurt (smothered in fudge, mochi bits, and Reese’s, of course). You can even sign up online to get 10% on your purchase each time.
Special Notes: Groups, Bevo Bucks, Cheap, K-SPOT |
| :: Tapioca House | Location: 1906 Guadalupe St
One of the two boba places that the c/o 2013 and 2012 sisters love to frequent! Their drinks are cheap but yummy! Make sure you get a stamp card so that you can get 1 free after buying 10!
Special Notes: Cheap, K-SPOT |
| :: Tiff’s Treats | Location: 1806 Nueces
Sometimes, you just NEED that freshly baked, warm, sugary goodness that is a cookie. THE go-to cookie store is Tiff’s Treats! You can walk-in on a whim, but even better, you can order online or call-in to have a pick-up order! Wait, it’s not over yet! Tiff’s Treats also DELIVERS!!! Aside from the excellent student-friendly services that Tiff’s provides, you should definitely try the TiffWich, a warm cookie sandwich with delicious Blue Bell ice cream squished in the middle. Beautiful…
