Every Friday night we gather in large group to study the Bible’s insights and relevance in our everyday lives. Join us for our current message series as we study the book of Ephesians. Good Friday is a day of remembrance when, we solemnly reflect on the death of our Savior Jesus on a Roman cross to pay the penalty for our sin. It is a sober reminder of what we did to God before our joyous celebration of what God did for us—resurrect from death and conquer Satan, sin, and death—on Easter Sunday. We are going to have a special viewing of the Passion of the Christ movie before the Good Friday Service starting at 5 pm. Click here for a map to the Episcopal Student Center.

Special TFN: The Case for Christmas, and Gift Exchange!Posted on November 24th, 2009 by daryl in Events, Past EventsDon’t miss our special TFN and Case for Christmas talk this Friday, December 4th! Hear a presentation on why the reasons why Christmas is so important for Christians, stay for a short Bible study, and bring a wrapped, lucrative $5 gift for an exciting and unpredictable Gift Exchange game! We’ll be meeting to start with dinner at 7pm at WCHogg, and have our gift exchange immediately following at the Episcopal Student Center (at 27th and University).
Our current series is: IncomPARABLE wisdom – get it? In case your brain is still fried from midterms and didn’t get the clever pun, we’re studying the famous parables of Jesus—those rich and profound stories unmatched in all history for their insight into the nature of man, God, life. Note that Bible Study is on Tuesday this week due to Thanksgiving break. Date/Time: Tuesday, 11/24 – 7:00pm (Delicious home-cooked dinner will be provided)
It’s the 6th week of school, and you’ve taken four tests already and have three lab reports and a paper due in a week! When will the madness end!? Not until December, unfortunately! =D But never fear, this friday, Koinonia Halftime is here! Come take a break from hittin’ the books and mailing out resumes, and enjoy some friendly (like, uh, no tackling) football, FREE bbq, and a special TFN message from a guest speaker – Pastor Ed Kang from our Gracepoint Berkeley church! It will definitely be a do-not-miss event =) Location: South Mall Lawn (for sports+BBQ) & Mezes Auditorium (for TFN) And check out our viral video! |
