Our current series is: IncomPARABLE wisdom – get it? In case your brain is still fried from midterms and didn’t get the clever pun, we’re studying the famous parables of Jesus—those rich and profound stories unmatched in all history for their insight into the nature of man, God, life.

Note that Bible Study is on Tuesday this week due to Thanksgiving break.

It’s the 6th week of school, and you’ve taken four tests already and have three lab reports and a paper due in a week! When will the madness end!? Not until December, unfortunately! =D But never fear, this friday, Koinonia Halftime is here! Come take a break from hittin’ the books and mailing out resumes, and enjoy some friendly (like, uh, no tackling) football, FREE bbq, and a special TFN message from a guest speaker – Pastor Ed Kang from our Gracepoint Berkeley church! It will definitely be a do-not-miss event =)

This past Friday, Pastor Manny dealt with the topic of envy and covered the story of Cain in Genesis 4. One of the topics we talked about was from verse 7, that sin is a malevolent force, crouching, trying to master us (and often succeeding). One of the illustrations Pastor Manny used was from Pastor Joshua Harris, about the beanbag, and small steps we take towards evil… and before long, it’s got us. Here’s the actual video of the illustration–it really gets you to think about evil in a fresh way…
