Giving Thanks with Joy & Celebration

As Thanksgiving was nearing, many of us spent a weekend recounting the ways God has been faithful to our church and beyond. All the way from LA, California, our guest Pastor Manny came back to the just-as-beautiful Texas land for our Thanksgiving Retreat, so to challenge us through several messages and videos. We were exhorted to remember the roots of our Austin church plant, and continue to pass on what we have generously received.

Of course, we couldn’t end the weekend without celebration, and with every celebration comes really great food. We feasted on homemade turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, and more, filling ourselves up before we took to the stage to showcase our talents.

Each class had a chance to perform something fun and meaningful, and sometimes just outright silly. Although our retreat spanned three days, time felt short as we lost ourselves in the laughter and joy. We caught a glimpse of being a church family and couldn’t be more thankful for the way God has worked this past year.
