The Freshmen Getaway
What a historical getaway as the Koinonia and Kairos freshmen went on the first ever getaway to Longhorn Lodge! :D
Getting away from stresses of school, the weekend began with a meaningful bible study, where P. Jonathan and Susanna shared their stories of how the gospel impacted their lives during their college years. Afterwards, we ended up acting out hilarious skits based on the parables we covered throughout this semester ("No, no, no!"). After the acts, we had an open time as people got to show off their talents - featuring a few sisters who were able to rap, sing, and create a beat while the brothers provided entertainment by contorting their arms and impersonating Gollum from Lord of the Rings. The next day, we headed for Enchanted Rock! The climb was challenging to the top, but we had a memorable time of fellowship as we took pictures, explored the dark narrow cave, observed God’s creation, and prayed for one another. The fellowship continued on the way back to Longhorn Lodge as cars made funny music videos during the ride (P. Jonathan definitely gave it his all! :)). We came back for a delicious dinner (bulgogi), followed by a time around the campfire where we ate s'mores, listened to scary stories, shared our life stories, and sang fun campfire songs. We ended the night with group games (King Kong Shower, Bang!, Charoodles, Guesstures) and had our finale, the Store Game, where the Cell Phone Store lost and was given a punishment. We are thankful that God has provided us this house and for everyone who contributed to build Longhorn Lodge as it sure was a great time to have this time of bonding together!
And now for the photos...
