Hitting the 40 Acres

Summer was here and gone -- it sure went by fast!  As UT students from all over the country finish moving onto campus, they count down the days until school starts with either excitement or dread. Meanwhile, our students and staff already in Austin wrapped up "The Letters" message series studying Paul's New Testament Letters and gearing up for the new school year.

Though it was sad to say goodbye to those who were only here for the summer, we eagerly anticipate the arrival of all the students, especially the Class of 2020. The whole church gathered together to pray this past Saturday at the UT Tower, walking all over campus praying for many opportunities to meet and share the gospel with those who are spiritually hungry.  Afterwards, a full day of planning and outreach for our big welcome week events took place at our 405 building and across the campus.

It's all hands on deck as there is a lot of work to do - building a new A-Frame, making decorations, gathering supplies, and planning activities just to name a few. Even though it's hard and tiring, there is fellowship through laboring together and much rejoicing when the job is done.

We look forward to meeting incoming students and welcoming everyone to a new school year!
